Finlay Donaldson

Finlay joined H/Advisors Maitland in 2016 as an analyst and has since progressed to the role of Associate Partner working with global clients in the financial services, private markets and industrials sectors.

Finlay Donaldson works predominantly with H/Advisors Maitland’s financial and corporate PR clients across the financial services, private equity and private credit sectors. Among his clients are a number of global players seeking corporate profile-raising and reputation management to develop their footprint in the EMEA market, such as Amundi Asset Management (Europe’s largest asset manager by AuM), Apollo Global Management (the world’s second largest alternative asset manager) and Pictet Alternative Advisors.

Finlay has extensive M&A experience through existing client retained relationships and on a project basis, including the take-private of TalkTalk by Toscafund Asset Management and the acquisitions of Pioneer and Banca Sabadell’s asset management division by Amundi, as well as a host of private equity and direct lending transactions.

Prior to joining H/Advisors Maitland, Finlay worked in executive search with financial services clients on both the buy and sell side. He graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA (Hons) degree in Classics.
