Jay Turner

Jay Turner is an Associate Partner in the Political team at H/Advisors Maitland, bringing a decade of experience working in politics and communications.

As a communications professional with a deep understanding of UK politics, Jay helps businesses navigate the political and policy environment and to influence change. Jay provides strategic communications advice and a wide range of Public Affairs services including policy influencing, stakeholder engagement, reputation management, profile-raising, transaction support, stakeholder auditing, and Select Committee preparation.

Jay works closely with listed and non-listed businesses to develop tailored political communications strategies that support their commercial objectives. Whether it’s shaping public policy, building relationships with key decision-makers, or managing reputational challenges, he leverages his understanding of Westminster and Whitehall to guide his clients through the intersection of politics and business. He has advised organisations operating in a wide range of sectors, including First TransPennine Express, Yorkshire Building Society, Virgin Trains Ticketing, the Port of London Authority, Pets at Home, Spire Healthcare, Yodel, Vauxhall, and Flybe.

For many years Jay has been closely involved in the Conservative Party at a national and local level, including working for MPs in Parliament. During the 2015 and 2017 General Election he worked for Conservative Party HQ in the Operations Team helping to deliver the Prime Minister’s campaign events and visits.
