Jonathan Cook

Jonathan joined H/Advisors Maitland in 2015 and provides strategic, corporate and financial communications advice to UK listed, privately held and international clients, such as Ashtead Group PLC, B&M European Value Retail PLC, Close Brothers Group PLC and Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC.

He works across a variety of sectors, but specialises within financial services and private wealth in particular, working across growing to established firms within the fund/wealth management, legal advisory and private equity / venture capital space. Jonathan also has experience advising clients in a wide variety of critical communications situations – from crisis and reputation management to M&A, restructuring and cross-border litigation proceedings. In recent years he has worked on complex situations such as Starwood Capital Group’s successful acquisition of RDI REIT PLC, the £11bn merger of Standard Life and Aberdeen Asset Management and the acquisition of SVG Capital by Harbourvest. Jonathan has also advised on a high-profile global product recall, where he coordinated a network of agencies across 36 markets. In support of such projects he has also led web and digital teams.

Prior to joining, Jonathan gained experience at a leading public affairs agency and within the marketing department of an oilfield technology start-up. Jonathan graduated in 2015 with a degree in Politics and International Relations.
