Emma heads the Financial PR & IR practice, with a focus on capital markets, IR & Governance and has over 30 years of City and investment experience. She is also Chair of the Policy Committee of the UK Investor Relations Society.

Emma is one of the partners at H/Advisors Maitland and heads the investor relations and governance practice and has worked on a wide variety of key client projects in this ever broadening area, from unlisted to FTSE 100 companies and including ECM work, IPO’s and M&A. More recently her remit has developed to include Debt IR, ESG for investors and regulation. Emma joined H/Advisors Maitland after 14 years as an equity investment analyst in the City working at Hoare Govett and ABN Amro, where she was Global Director for the general retail sector.

With an extensive network of investor and sell side analyst contacts, Emma has also developed close working relationships with many of the independent broking houses as well as the traditional integrated banks. Emma’s IR role at H/Advisors Maitland has included work on ZPG, Nasdaq OMX, Domestic &General, L’Oréal, Pets at Home, Bevco Lux, Tesco, Dominos, B&M Retail, and Xchanging.

Emma was Chair of the Investor Relations Society Policy Committee for 9 years, a significant influence in the UK regulatory and corporate governance environment, interacting regularly with regulators and key industry bodies. She sat on the Board of the Investor Relations Society over the same time. Emma also contributes to the 100 Group IR & Markets committee. The 100 Group represents the views of the Finance Directors of FTSE 100 and several large UK private companies.
