Sam is a globally minded communications advisor who specialises in guiding senior leaders through critical situations, such as a transaction or crisis, as well as profile raising and campaigns.

He joined H/Advisors Maitland in 2010 after four years spearheading communications and media relations for the British Chambers of Commerce in Westminster.

Today he predominantly works with clients in the financial services sector, with a focus on active asset management, private capital and insurance. He supports listed businesses, large private businesses, and advises leading industry bodies.

In 2012, Sam relocated to Dubai. He worked with multinationals to raise their profiles across the GCC and provided strategic advice to government entities, sovereign funds, and prominent family groups.

Sam transferred to Hong Kong in 2016 to lead the agency and work with companies in the APAC region. He advised large local and foreign corporates and was regularly asked to support with challenges such as a cross border transaction, litigation, or to raise brand profiles for new market entrants.

Sam returned to London and H/Advisors Maitland in early 2018. His time in Asian markets has proved beneficial to the firm’s global clients, particularly US and European firms considering M&A activity and thought leadership campaigns. He was appointed Managing Partner in January 2023.
