H/Advisors Maitland’s team of communications experts are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds. We are award-winning editors, broadcasters and journalists, star rated analysts, leading fund managers, lawyers, politicians and political campaigners. We also develop talent internally, with some of our partners originally joining the firm as graduates.

We are always keen to hear from bright and ambitious individuals who have an interest in business and a thirst for news and current affairs. Undergraduates and recent graduates from all backgrounds and disciplines are invited to apply for an internship or full time analyst position and information on those processes will be posted on this page at the points we are seeking applicants.

Applications from those with more experience will also be considered to join the team as a consultant all the way through to partner.

The role​

The Analyst position is a full time permanent role, with successful candidates working on live client projects from day one, supporting client teams across our practices. ​

Whilst there are no specific requirements for success, we look for bright and ambitious applicants who can demonstrate excellent written English, an interest in business and a curiosity about how data and AI are shaping communications. A love of news and current affairs will also help you stand out from the crowd. ​

Along with Consultants, Analysts hold the core support role on client accounts, new business activity and assist in the smooth running of client teams. They should be energetic, organised, hard working, reliable and have excellent attention to detail. ​

Compensation and benefits​

  • 25 days Annual Leave, plus public holidays, with 1 additional day per year of service (capped at 30 days) ​

What we are looking for​

We are looking for bright and ambitious applicants able to demonstrate an interest in business and a love of news and current affairs. We are principally seeking candidates who have recently graduated, or who will be entering their final year of studies. Interns should expect to be in the office 5 days a week. ​

The programme consists of paid work experience for 4 weeks in which you will receive an introduction to communications consultancy and learn about advising businesses on their communication issues. You will shadow experienced consultants and have the chance to assist client teams across all of our practice areas. ​

Interviews will take place in February with both in-person and video conference options available. There will be a written test after the interview stage. ​Successful applicants will be invited to take up their place between June and September. There will be some flexibility on dates to enable attendance to fit around academic course dates.
