James has over 20 years’ experience in counselling clients in the UK and internationally on communicating effectively, advising on the issues that matter most to businesses. He works with companies and senior executives to tailor and deliver communications strategies to build their brands, manage, enhance and protect their reputations, and promote open, effective dialogue with key stakeholders, knowing that every client and stakeholder has unique objectives, constraints, operational circumstances and economic realities.

James’ experience also includes significant transaction work, from M&A, IPOs, debt/equity raisings and restructurings, as well crisis, litigation and financial communications support.

James’ focus is real assets, alternatives, energy/cleantech and infrastructure, as well as consumer/leisure financial, professional services and private equity. James represents leading public and private entities and stakeholders, business owners and operators, including investment funds and managers, financial institutions, investment banks, opportunity funds, investment managers, insurance companies, hedge funds and pension advisors, offering communications advice and support that helps align strategy with business goals and ambitions.

James began his career as a solicitor at Freshfields focused on corporate finance and then in regulation at the London Stock Exchange.
